Whether you’ve just moved to the area or you’ve lived here for decades, Lancaster County offers a Memorial Day weekend packed with events, parades, and festivals. Check out the following events listed for Friday, May 27th – Monday, May 30.


Friday May 27

Lancaster’s Clipper Magazine Stadium features two games during the holiday weekend. Why not celebrate your heritage by taking in American’s favorite pastime. Friday’s game features a salute to veterans at 5:45 p.m. and patriotic fireworks post-game. You won’t want to miss this special night.

Friday, May 27

Take a Slow Ride through Lancaster’s streets. You’ll join the city’s bike club that draws more than 100 riders each event. Look for festive themes, a leisurely pace, and plenty of socializing.

The Group meets at Binns Park I 6 – 8 p.m.

Saturday May 28

Stop by Tellus 360, located on King Street in Downtown Lancaster, for a session of rooftop yoga. Meditating underneath the morning sun sounds like a great way to ring in the start of summer.

Saturday & Sunday May 28-29th

Surprise your children and check out the Memorial Day Weekend at Dutch Wonderland. The park features military discounts all weekend long, including free admission for active and retired military personnel on Memorial Day (May 30).

Take your group of friends to the grounds of the PA Renaissance Faire at Mount Hope Estate and Winery. While you may not see juggling court jesters, you will have the opportunity to sample local food and wine. This annual festival features live cooking demos, children’s story hour, and various music and entertainment groups. Make this exciting event a new tradition for you and your family. Free admission and parking.

Saturday, May 28

Check out Lancaster’s oldest Memorial Day parade in Mount Joy. You’ll want to claim your sidewalk real estate early, as Mount Joy natives flock to the streets to watch veterans, church groups, schools, and marching bands proudly walk the the mile-long stretch.

If you haven’t discovered Mount Joy’s charm, stop in at Bube’s Brewery for lunch before the parade begins. You’ll want to check out their outdoor patio. Perfect to grab a sandwich or drink.
